AMD did not survived because they are powerful. I am on AMB about 7 years and never changed the CPU. Just do not play with heatsinks and it will be ok!
@Ne1170 you get what you pay for, i’d rather have solid processors than broken AMD’s. i’ve had 4 broken amds and zero broken intels. i now run an intel quad extreme QX9650
@blackstones83 AMD is more affordable than Intel!!! It’s so much cheaper. I run Intel but if i bought a AMD compatible motherboard for sub £50 it could house over 130 differrent types of processor.
@blackstones83
You dont give any valid reasons why AMD is shit. What is that you where missing on, tell me?
I owned Pent2 Pent3 Pent4 Pent4HT Ath3200 x2Ath4600 Q6600 E6400 and laptop T6600 All the AMD CPUs did theyre job just as good as Intel. They all ran with no problems, they all where ok with overclocking, even Pent2
There is no reason to stick with only one of the companies, because all that matters at the end of the day is price/performance.
@RoLeRzzz AMD is still shit dood. Take it from a former AMD fanboy. I fan’d AMD from 1998 to 2005, got my first pentium 4 socket 775. Thats when i found out what i was missing out on.
@blackstones83 Well…. that is what i said.
btw. Calling a company shit, just because it does not have the strongest CPU on the market is not wise. AMDs processors get the job done and has the most reasonable graphics adapter. (Nvidia thermi is a joke, cause of the insane power requirements with minimal processing power advantage)
It is like calling Intel a shit company, because they don’t have the strongest graphics processor units.
@DGneoseeker1 yes and no. few genreations back AMD was on top and had the best overclocking caps. NOW amd has been lagging behind intel for the last 5 years. Everyone has gone intel because simply it’s alot more affordable these days.
@blackstones83
I dont see what is wrong with that, as long as it works with no problems. You can even unlock the 4th core sometimes and get a fully working 4 core cpu
@gfyhdhbyhgj Crashing isn’t necessarily due to overheating, it could be software/bios issue. I personally run an old Pentium 4 24/7 as a server in a particularly warm room and no troubles.
I love the smell of burnt thermalpaste in the morning.
rofl u can cook a pizza on the amd athlond 1400
quake 3 !

This is awesome. I’ll have to share this to folks who don’t understand the concept of heat sinks.
lmao cool but old
assembled in Malaysia lol!
Looks like TH encoded this video with the CPU heatsink off.
@KrazyKoyk
On AMD – yes

@RoLeRzzz Most of the time the 4th core isn’t fully working. It’s really a hit or miss. And alot of times the 4th core fails.

@DGneoseeker1
Look at the year of the video…. 2001? AMD has integrated overheat protection now, and the cpu is safe.
wow thats a great educational video!
This shows how well done Intel’s CPU are against heat.
Wow… So AMD really DOES suck donkey balls?
my core 2 duo runs without acooler

Project X Theme name of the song
I saw this video years ago and I’ve been an intel man ever since
